As a Vehicle Estimation Engineer at Motrec International, you will be at the heart of our success. Your role will be to manage new product development requests (vehicles/options). You will also be responsible for estimating new products and acting as the primary link for internal requests. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment, where you will play a major role in the engineering team.
Key responsibilities :
- Analyze new product development requests and provide recommendations.
- Study these requests and determine the best technical solutions for designing these new products.
- Select and integrate components that meet Motrec standards.
- Develop costing documents for new products.
- Work closely with other members of the engineering team on the development plan for the Motrec vehicle range.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team in the transfer of information for the marketing of new products or technologies.
- Perform all related tasks.

Job requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
- Experience in estimating an asset.
- Experience in technical drawing (SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Understanding of electrical principles and circuits.
- Experience in product design an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage a variety of priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and willingness to contribute actively.
