As an Electric Vehicle Designer at Motrec International, you will be at the heart of our success. Your role will be to execute the design and production of the vehicles to be built. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment, where you will play a major role in the engineering team.

Key responsibilities :

  • Design and model industrial vehicles.
  • Select and integrate mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components that meet Motrec standards.
  • Prepare and maintain the BOM of vehicles to be produced.
  • Produce drawings of manufactured components and prepare welding/painting/assembly instructions.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of vehicle manufacturing and design processes.
  • Actively support the production team during the production launch of new vehicles.
  • Document engineering changes under his/her responsibility according to the engineering change process.
  • Solve manufacturing and assembly problems by implementing simple and effective solutions in vehicle design.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to improve and implement best practices.

Job requirements :

  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technique or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in 3D design software (Solid Works an asset)
  • Experience in technical drawing and geometric tolerancing
  • Experience in mechanically welded structures
  • Experience in manufacturing (an asset)
  • Experience in electric vehicle design (an asset)
  • Bilingual English/French (an asset)
