As a Development and Compliance Engineer at Motrec International, you will be at the core of our success. Your primary role will be to maintain certification records and create compliance documentation for new markets where Motrec expands. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment, playing a key role in defining and evolving the Motrec vehicle lineup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain up-to-date certification records.
  • Analyze regulatory standards in new markets where Motrec expands.
  • Establish compliance requirements for the design of new vehicles.
  • Define and conduct tests for the validation of different assemblies.
  • Develop innovative products in a simultaneous engineering environment that meets market needs.
  • Select and integrate components that meet Motrec’s standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our vehicles.
  • Document all projects with rigour and clarity.
  • Establish, track, and maintain project timelines for assigned tasks.
  • Be accountable for the performance and integrity of the product.
  • Validate, guide, and approve new designs.
  • Technically approve new suppliers according to the established process.
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
  • 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in certification file management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ANSI B56, UL, and CE standards is an asset.
  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Experience with technical design (SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical principles and circuits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and actively contribute.
