As the Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager at Motrec International, you will be central to our success. Your role will involve developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to maintain our leadership in the global market. You will work closely with our suppliers and partners to ensure the quality and availability of components necessary for the production of our cutting-edge electric vehicles by establishing sustainable business partnerships.

As a senior employee, you will have a direct impact on the company's financial profitability by ensuring low material costs, timely delivery of raw materials, and maintaining lower inventory levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with our numerous suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide expertise and support to the purchasing team across their activities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the company’s objectives
  • Establish and present a strategic plan and schedule for the purchasing department to management
  • Meet with the management team weekly to present the results of the strategic purchasing plan and associated financial savings
  • Oversee the inventory reduction committee and present the committee’s achievements to management on a weekly basis
  • Implement a purchase request process requiring approval from the Finance Director and the Chief Executive Officer
  • Manage and track major orders with key suppliers
  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed sourcing decisions
  • Advocate for the department’s directions to the management team
  • Collaborate with existing and potential suppliers and seek new partnerships to ensure our supply chain
  • Negotiate optimal purchase terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers
  • Ensure delivery deadlines are met and resolve any supply-related issues
  • Work closely with internal teams, including production, engineering, and sales, to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction

Job Requirements :

  • Bilingualism
  • 10 years of experience in a strategic purchasing role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing practices and supplier management
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Experience with ERP systems (a plus)

 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $85,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
