As Human Resources Coordinator at Motrec International, you will be at the heart of our success. You will play an essential role in staffing, labor relations, employee satisfaction and continuous improvement of the HR department. You will work closely with the four Directors and the President, supporting them in their day-to-day demands.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment and selection :

  • Complete staffing cycle for plant and office positions
  • Contribute to the establishment of recruitment strategies aimed at attracting the best candidates by using and improving the company’s visibility through social networks, job search sites and other media.
  • Manage and coordinate the integration and departure of employees
  • Manage and coordinate quarterly internships (summer, fall, winter)
  • Participate in activities representing the region (Internship Day, Job Fair, etc.)

Project management and communication :

  • Develop and ensure clear and regular internal communication to keep all staff informed of various activities and news.
  • Maintain the recognition plan
  • Update employee files and prepare reports
  • Participate in the organization of special events
  • Provide administrative support (letters, contracts, policies, announcements, appointments, departures)
  • Manage employee assistance program
  • Update human resources documentation
  • Develop the company’s employer brand
  • Manage and coordinate various HR development projects (according to priorities).

Employee relations :

  • Support the production supervisor in managing labor relations
  • Sits on labor relations committees
  • Draft disciplinary notices
  • See to the application of the collective agreement
  • Assist manager(s) in applying and complying with human resources management legislation.

Occupational health and safety :

  • Support the management of OHS files
  • Act as point of contact with the prevention mutual group
  • Sit on the OHS committee

Job requirements :

  • University degree in human resources management or industrial relations
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience (similar role in SME an asset)
  • CHRP (asset)
  • Proficiency in Office suite
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (an asset)
  • Autonomy and sense of responsibility
