As a Vehicle Development Engineer at Motrec International, you will be at the heart of our success. Your main role will be to participate in the development of new products, as well as the improvement of existing ones. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment, where you will play a major role in the definition and evolution of the Motrec vehicle range.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative products that meet market needs in a simultaneous engineering context.
  • Select and integrate components that meet Motrec standards.
  • Research new components to increase vehicle reliability and/or reduce costs.
  • Document all projects with rigor and simplicity.
  • Determine the tests to be carried out to validate the various assemblies.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain schedules for assigned projects.
  • Be accountable for product performance and integrity.
  • Participate in team effort for cost estimates.
  • Validate, guide and approve new designs.
  • Technically approve new suppliers according to established process.
  • Rigorously follow and maintain the PDP (Product Development Process).
  • Work as part of a team with engineers and technicians.
  • Perform all related tasks.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize while maintaining a high level of efficiency.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in technical drawing (SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of electrical principles and circuits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and willingness to contribute actively.
