As an Accounting Technician at Motrec International, you will assume a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the finance and accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Information Technology, the accounting technician will play a major role in managing accounts receivable and providing administrative support to the leadership.
Roles and Responsibilities
Accounting and Finance
- Ensure the monitoring of accounts receivable via phone and email while maintaining a high level of recovery.
- Oversee the advance payments from customers (CIA).
- Handle the invoicing of vehicle clients’ accounts.
- Receive payments and record deposits.
- Process credit requests and credit card authorizations.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end documents.
- File and archive accounting documents.
- Perform related accounting tasks as needed.
- Manage necessary documents from the accounts receivable email inbox.
- Act as the point of contact for government grant projects.
Administrative and Logistics Support
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate communication and meeting coordination.
- Ensure logistics, such as organizing travel, hotel reservations, and travel arrangements for the leadership team and sales team.
- Establish and maintain governance for the company.
- Efficiently manage various administrative tasks, including calendar management, email correspondence, phone call reception, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
- Assist in meeting coordination and note-taking.
Position Requirements
- Diploma in secretarial studies, administrative technology, accounting, or management.
- High school diploma combined with equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within an SME.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, necessary for managing account recovery for our American clientele.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, NAV, Genius, Epicor).
- Proficiency with accounting software (Quickbooks, Acomba, Sage, Freshbooks).
- Proficiency in office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated, organized, and initiative-driven.
